Laura is excited to partner with her friends at CAP United as a CAP Certified Teacher for more opportunities for Audition Well students. Audition Well students now have the opportunity to attend CAP United consortium auditions with over 30 universities in attendance. Additionally, Audition Well proudly uses CAP Navigator to help keep you organized through the college audition process.
Laura is a St. Louis based audition coach and owner/founder of Audition Well. She works one-on-one with students in person and online preparing them for the college audition process. Her goal is to create confident and prepared actors.
In addition to coaching, Laura teaches theatre courses at both Lindenwood University and St. Charles Community College. Previously, she was the Director of the Youth Theatre Program at the Jewish Community Center. Laura taught musical theatre history, acting the song and acting at Lindenwood University, where she received her MFA in Directing. Laura also served as an Admissions Counselor for Lindenwood. She viewed many auditions. Laura walked many high schoolers through the college audition process and recruited many to the Theatre Department. Laura taught private voice for six years. Her students have performed at STAGES St. Louis and the MUNY.
Laura has produced numerous children’s shows and directed The One-Hour Twilight Zone: Live with Magic Smoking Monkey Theatre and Andrew Lippa’s John and Jen at Lindenwood University. She holds a BA in Musical Theatre from the University of Northern Colorado. A proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association, Laura starred in the national tour of Junie B. Jones and St. Louis Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream as Helena.
Acting the song technique is something that Laura is most passionate about teaching. She is excited to work with students one-on-one, helping them be their very best for auditions.
